Welcome Scouts, to the 2008 Trail’s End Popcorn Sales Fundraiser!

This program is the largest opportunity, each year, for our pack to raise money for such things as:

• New equipment
• Repair existing equipment
• Fund scout’s Camp Accounts
• Fund the scouting program year

This year our Pack has set a goal to sell $300 per scout! This is not hard to do and we’ll show you how to get there.

Self fund your scout’s activities!!!

New this year! At least twenty-five percent (25%) of pack proceeds, that your scout sells, will be set aside for your scout’s camping, special event activities, or other scout supplies. This is a great way to save money to cover camping trips, derbies, or even buy a new uniform! All proceeds belong to the Pack but are allocated to the scout who earned them. If a scout leaves the Pack, any remaining funds on their account will be placed in the general Pack operating account.

PRIZES

This year there are many ways to earn prizes!

Trail’s End Prizes – These are awarded based on achieving specific total sales levels. Information is available in the Popcorn order sheets.

South Florida Council “Fill-it-Up” Prize – Once a scout fills completely a single order form (see SFC Rules attached) they can fax it in to enter a weekly drawing for an iPod Shuffle or a $70 gift certificate. At the end of the sales program the Council will also be awarding a Nintendo Wii!

Pack 361 Top Sellers! – Pack 361 will be awarding prizes to the top three sellers in the Pack.

HOW/WHERE TO SELL

The best way to approach the Take Order Sales is to approach your friends, family, and close neighbors. If you do go to your neighborhood homes PLEASE follow the safety guidelines outlined on the attached document. ALWAYS have a parent with you.

Parents should bring the second Take Order Sales sheet to work! Last year my son sold $250 in one day just by promising to deliver the popcorn to my staff members in his uniform! When he did the deliveries many more people asked to buy!!

Online Sales if you have friends or family the live out of the area they can still support your scout. Each scout will receive an order ID to use at www.orderpopcorn.com , your remote friends and family can place their orders online starting on October 1 st and their purchase will be shipped directly to their home. The Pack, and your scout, will still receive credit for these sales. IMPORTANT: Please do not use the online sales for people you can deliver to locally. Only use it for sales out of the city/state. The Pack receives a larger commission on local sales than online due to shipping charges.

TIMELINE

START SELLING TODAY!!! You may begin immediately!

Take Order Sales will continue until November 4 th. The Pack must place its orders on November 5 th!!! Payments are due NLT November 28 th

Online Sales of individual popcorn items will begin October 1 st. The online program is available all year long!

Popcorn will be distributed November 17 th.

Our Pack will also be coordinating Show and Sell events where we will sell at a neighborhood Publix or Home Depot Location. We will distribute more information on dates and times later.
